Hemmed & Grommetted
A Boldscan standard banner is made single-sided, 40mm hems all round, double-stitched for flatter, neater seams with grommets* (nickel-plated) set approximately every 610mm.
*We use No. 2 grommets (with an internal hole diameter of 12mm) as these are much stronger than ordinary eyelets.
Depending on the diameter of the pole we create pole-pockets to accommodate. Sides without pockets are normally clean cut (depending on size) so the banner hangs better. For added strength and durability the stitched pockets are secured with grommet in each corner.
Clear pockets are sewn onto your banner and are ideal for date change, leaflets, etc.
P.V.C Panels are ideal for date change. Using press studs, turn buttons or Velcro onto main banner.
Weight or Stiffening Rod in Banner
To improve the appearance of your banners we can sew a 12mm steel bar, 10mm stainless steel bar or 10mm lightweight P.V.C. stiffening rod into the hem of your banners.
Where banners are to be suspended from corners only we strongly advise a suitable strength rope to be sewn in along the top & bottom edge (hems). We would normally leave an overhanging end of one metre at each corner – but you can specify any overhang length you require. We can also fit normal eyelets/grommets in the hem under rope if required.
Over and above our normal finishing of hemmed and grommetted or pole pocketed banners we also offer the following shaped finishes:
By welding different colours together you can add dramatic impact to your banners.
